Welwyn Harmony are pleased to announce Oli Goodall as our new Musical Director starting in April 2024. Oli has sung for many years with Capital Chorus and Meantime Chorus as well as various quartets, most notably Hot Ticket, Labbs 2023 Mixed Quartet Champions.
Academically trained in Linguistics, Oli learned about the voice through a scientific lens, attaining an MRes in Speech, Language and Cognition in 2019. In 2023 he made the leap into music education full time with the launch of OG Vocal Studio. Since then Oli has been teaching singing, coaching as many ensembles as possible, and studying to become an accredited Vocal Health First Aider.
Welwyn Harmony and Oli are looking forward to working together to grow the chorus and its singers.
Gitta Irmer continues as our Assistant Musical Director after leading the Chorus brilliantly through this interim period.
